Movement signed Jacob A Paris, No.135; case and sidereal movement later
The engraved and silvered regulator dial signed Jacob a Paris, No. 135 and with fine blued steel hands, within a later foliate cast brass bezel, the movement with substantial pillars, high count train, dead beat escapement with jewelled pallets planted on the back plate in the typical French manner, the escape wheel cock engraved JACOB A PARIS 135, the motion work now geared through to an associated sidereal train with silvered dial having outer concentric minute ring and eccentric 24-hour (1-23 in Arabic) hour ring, engraved in the centre SIDERIAL TIME GOLD MEDAL INTERNATIONAL EXHIBITION 1862, the small purpose-made later case with arched glazed door with stop chamfered angles and break-arch top; later wood-rod pendulum with fine adjustment to the bob suspended from an bracket secured to the backboard, weight, crank key, case key
