The hood with moulded door frame and side panels, conforming frame to the trunk door, on stepped plinth, probably formerly resting on a wall bracket, the 10 in. square silvered and engraved regulator dial with subsidiary seconds ring and with arched aperture showing the hours, signed Alexander Ferguson/Cupar Fife, blued steel hands, dial feet secured with double screws to the movement with six pillars, bolt and shutter maintaining power, Graham-type dead beat escapement, wheels with six crossings (escape wheel with four); wood rod pendulum with brass lenticular bob and calibrated rating nut, brass weight, winding key
