The case with ebonised banding and urn finials to the bell top, brass handles to the sides above foliate cast brass sound frets, all angles with mounts modelled as female busts trailing foliage, florally cast quarter frets to the brass-lined front door, on foliate scroll feet, the silvered dial with gilt-metal foliate spandrels to applied silvered chapter ring with inner concentric date ring, silvered centre signed EARDLEY NORTON/LONDON/3574, pierced and blued steel hands and arrow date hand, conforming strike/silent ring to the arch, the eight day movement with five pillars (the lower two threaded) and border-engraved back plate numbered 3574, twin wire fusees with anchor escapement, strike/trip repeat on replaced bell, with replaced securing brackets; pendulum with flower-engraved bob, key
