With browned swamped tapering barrels each signed in silver on the half-length rib, engraved with rococo scrolls about the fore-sight, decorated over the rear half with further rococo scrollwork chiselled in low relief and enclosing the figure of a sportsman in contemporary dress, and with gilt maker's stamp on the breech flats (Neue Støckel 654), bevelled locks chiselled in low relief on a pounced ground, figured walnut full stocks carved with rococo ornament in low relief about the barrel tangs and ramrod-pipes (one cracked behind the lock), full brass mounts finely cast en suite with the barrels and lock, the trigger-guards involving the figure of a sporting lady, the escutcheons decorated with the figure of Diana, and the mounts retaining most of their original gilding throughout, with set triggers, horn fore-end caps (one chipped), and horn-tipped wooden ramrods.
