A PAIR OF SCOTTISH ALL-STEEL FLINTLOCK BELT PISTOLS
Late 18th Century
With engraved barrels formed in four stages with fluted breeches and flared faceted muzzles, fitted with later locks, each inscribed 'Cabbell', engraved stocks inlaid with engraved silver bands beneath, lobe butts inlaid with silver interlaced patterns over the backs and sides and with a design of silver circles and triangles over the pommels, pierced belt hooks, moulded ramrods, and later triggers (the barrels and stocks pitted).
