A GERMAN MILITARY BROADSWORD
Early 17th Century
With broad straight double-edged blade rounded at the tip and stamped with a mark of 'Toledo' type on both sides, iron hilt comprising down-turned asymmetrical quillons, knuckle-guard and centrally in-turned side-ring all engraved at the median points and terminals with small panels of leaf ornament, lobated rectangular pommel en suite and leather-bound grip.
