A FINE FRENCH CARVED COCONUT POWDER-FLASK
Early 19th Century
Finely carved in relief over its entire surface, decorated with detailed scenes from Classical mythology around the middle, a mask of Bacchus encirling the top, a demon mask emerging from a spiral of palm branches at the bottom, and fitted with German 17th Century silver top, the nozzle cap decorated with a hound and rabbit cast in the round, Ansbach silver mark and maker's mark 'KS'.
