signed with a fly (lower left), signed again, inscribed and dated ''Sunday Afternoon in the Park'/George and I loved the Park, so did the dogs (Gyp & Barney)/There was a huge Black Cannon, which we longed/to climb. I was just going to help George up when/Annie Murgatroyd saw us, and called to grandma,/but, alas, she was too late. George's white sailor/suit was a disgrace. That was the end of 'our day'/Father called a cab & we were taken home &/put to bed (to meditate on our sins) Mr Taylor,/The Bank Manager, & Miss Carter (who wore Pink)/met our Aunts & with Grandma continued/their afternoon's walk & the year was 1907.
