A 20TH CENTURY CHINESE EXPORT SILVER 4-PIECE TEA & COFFEE SET,
MARK OF GW, HONG KONG, CIRCA 1920,
Part-fluted & engraved with Chinese houses, trees, figures, sampans & islands, fruit finials, leaf-capped scroll handles with ivory spacers, engraved floral band around cover of teapot & coffee pot, each piece engraved with monogrammed shield & including a pair of sugar tongs, 55 oz. (5)
Provenance
Presented to Philip Nicholson on his retirement as Harbourmaster at Hong Kong & thence by descent to his god-daughter.
