TWO PAIRS OF 18TH CENTURY GERMAN SILVER CASTERS,
ONE PAIR MARK OF JOHANN LEONHART ALLMANN, AUGSBURG, 1775/77, THE OTHER PAIR MARK OF BIW IN RECTANGLE, AUGSBURG, 1777/79, ALL WITH LATER DUTCH IMPORT MARKS,
All baluster form with spirally fluted sides & pedestal bases, the domed covers with fruit or floral finials, the former pair with bayonet fittings to covers, the latter pair with scroll handles to one side & leafy thumbpieces, the covers hinged, 6 in. & 6½ in. high respectively, (15 & 16 cm.), 26 oz. (4)
