AN 18TH CENTURY FRENCH PROVINCIAL SILVER BEAKER,
MARK OF HUBERT-JOSEPH DELMOTTE, SOISSONS, CIRCA 1770 (Date letter "V"),
Of usual campana form, engraved with an upper band of tassels, medallions & stylised foliage on matted ground, the lower part with similarly engraved strapwork, fluted band around foot, the latter with contemporary initials "PF" to rim, inscribed around body with a much later English inscription, 3 5/8 in. high (9.6 cm.), 5 oz.
