A SET OF 3 GEORGE II SILVER CADDIES,
MARK OF EDWARD ALDRIDGE, LONDON, 1750,
Ovoid form with domed pull-off covers, later chased (circa 1775-90) with ribbon-tied drapery swags, tassels & stiff leafage & engraved at the same time with neo-classical arms of Watson impaling another, comprising a pair & another larger, contained in a silver-mounted shagreen box, lined in red velvet & trimmed with silver braid, on claw feet, the beaded scroll handle on a decorative escutcheon plate centred by a beaded oval cartouche engraved with the Watson crest, 26 oz.
