A VICTORIAN SILVER-GILT 3-BOTTLE INKSTAND,
MARK OF CHARLES THOMAS FOX & GEORGE FOX, LONDON, 1855,
The rounded rectangular base with incurved sides & fluted ends chased with decorative disc motifs, the base chased with eagles amidst flowers, the sides additionally chased with trailing foliage & crested to one side, the three cube-shaped receivers with floral-pierced sides & glass liners, two with lift-off interior covers & hinged outer covers, a scroll applied to back of the two end receivers to form a pen-rest, 11¼ in. long (28.5 cm.), 24.25 oz.
