A LATE 19TH CENTURY RUSSIAN SILVER CIGARETTE CASE,
MARK OF IPS (Cyrillic), PROBABLY FOR I.P.SMIRNOV, MOSCOW, CIRCA 1895,
Rectangular with ribbed & reeded diagonal banding, the plain central section applied with a gold monogram under a coronet, seperate hinged vesta compartment at one end, gilt interior with Cyrillic presentation inscription inside cover dated 1899, chain attachment with stopper, terminating in hook, cord slow match now absent, 4¼ in.long (10.8 cm.)
