A pair of Chinese famille verte dishes, circa 1715
each enamelled in the centre with a crane in flight and a prancing deer amidst bamboo and lingzhi-fungus under a pine tree, the cavetto with a band of four floral cartouches reserved on iron-red quatrefoil diaper ground, the rim with six cranes, the reverse with two iron-red flower sprigs -- 8 5/8in. (22cm.) diam. (2)
