Three Chinese blue and white saucer-dishes, Wanli
each painted with a crouching frog on the bank of a pond preparing to lurch at insects below a dragonfly, the sides with a ruyi-head border below the flat everted rim decorated with overlapping lappets, the reverse with floral sprigs -- 5½in. (14cm.) diam.; and five blue and white saucers, each painted with a pheasant by floral sprays issuing from rockwork, underglaze blue hare mark, Wanli. (8)
