A CANTONESE FAMILLE ROSE TREFOIL DISH, EARLY 19TH CENTURY
brightly painted in gilt and enamels and decorated at the centre with a famille rose jar and plate, a silver-handled basket of fish and an upward gazing three-legged toad on a white ground decorated with birds, flowers and butterflies, the everted rim with a key-fret and tassle border pattern to the interior with flower sprigs and vegetables to the exterior -- 11in. (28cm.) diam.
