A pair of Chinese Export iron-red and gilt bough pots and covers, Late Qianlong
each of tapering square-sectioned indented form, enamelled with alternating scenes of European figures strolling before a country house in a mountainous river landscape and houses amidst trees, framed by applied tree shrews eating from a scrolling grapevine issuing from two gilt rope-twist handles, the spreading base with floral sprays, the covers with five circular apertures -- 8¾in. (22.2cm.) high. (2)
