A pair of Chinese famille rose celadon-ground vases, early 20th century
each cylindrical body enamelled on an olive-green ground with a dragon pursuing flaming pearl and a swooping phoenix amidst fire and cloud scrolls above crashing waves, the angled shoulders with ruyi-head and lappet band, the neck with upright and pendant plantain divided by two dragon handles below the everted rim, the angled base and spreading foot with plantain and floral spray bands -- 24¾in. (62.8cm.) high. (2)
