A Chinese famille rose ogee-form bowl, 19th century
enamelled with He Xiangu and possibly Lan Caihe on a boat above crashing waves, a crane in flight and a pagoda amidst clouds, all below a band of confronting dragons pursuing the flaming pearl -- 3½in. (8.8cm.) diam.; a globular underglaze blue and peach-bloom waterpot, painted with a dignitary seated under a pine tree engaged in fishing; three bowls painted with dragons pursuing the flaming pearl; and a bowl enamelled with a European figure holding a ruyi sceptre and attendant holding a casket; all with various marks, late 19th 20th century.
