Mark of Arent Verstege, Haarlem, probably 1628
The hexafoil base with a knopped stem and a tapering bowl, the detachable cover with an overall snakeskin finish, the cover with a finial modelled with six twisted columns enclosing a suspended bird and below a crown and starburst pierced with the holy monogram, marked near rim, the rim, base and finial each marked with a post 1953 duty mark
