with golden mohair, clear and black glass eyes with remains of brown painted backs, pronounced clipped muzzle, black stitched nose, mouth and claws, swivel head, jointed limbs with cloth pads, hump and original orange ribbon, circa 1915 --22in. (56cm.) high (very slight wear); and a photograph of the original owner having a dolly tea's party, circa 1920

Lot Essay

The bear was given to Olwyn by her grandmother aged 2 in 1915 while suffering from the Croup.
