A fine Steiff teddy bear
with golden mohair, black boot button eyes, pronounced clipped muzzle, black stitched nose, mouth and claws, swivel head, jointed elongated limbs with felt pads, hump, FF button in ear and starched collar, circa 1912 --20in. (51cm.) high (two small holes in feet pads, slight staining left foot pad and colour faded); and a photograph of Dorothy and the the bear inscribed 'Dorothy and Teddy Bear 1912

Teddy was the childhood bear of Dorothy Sophia Fisher who was born on 21st January 1905.
