An English brass striking lantern clock, late 18th Century
With plain pierced gallery frets to the sides and dolphin pierced and engraved fret to the front, the dial with narrow silvered Roman chapter rings, pierced blued steel hand, the centre engraved with foliage in a central rosette and engraved George Rowell, fecit, the short duration movement with balance wheel and verge escapement, countwheel strike on bell, side doors with wing-nut latches, steel back plate, hoop and spurs-- 15 in. (38 cm.) high
