The arched case with moulded pediment surmounted by a bead-cast gilt-brass finial, with loop handles above arched tracery sound frets, with reeded moulding above a plinth raised on ball feet, the white painted Roman dial signed 745/R.T ROSKELL/LIVERPOOL, fleur-de-lys quarter hour markers, pierced gilt-brass hands, strike/silent ring in the arch, the eight day movement with shouldered plates joined by five pillars, twin chain fusees with anchor escapement, strike/trip repeat on bell, the back plate with punch-stamped repeat signature -- 26 in.
