AN IMPORTANT JAPANESE WORK ON ACUPUNTURE, the first Japanese edition (with additions) of the Chinese classic work on the subject Shisijing fahui written in 1341 by Hua Shou (1304-1386). The concept of acupuncture for healing was first discussed in the ancient Chinese medical text 'Huang di Nei Dung' over 2000 years ago, developing as the major technique of Chinese and Japanese healing. This work by Gensen is the first comprehensive edition of the classic Chinese text for acupuncture for a Japanese audience. The illustrations include figures, points and instruments. Cf.
