FIRST AND ONLY EDITION. A WORK APPLYING GEOMETRY TO COASTAL NAVIGATION. After having published a Geometria pratica in 1626, Veglia analysed in the first part of the present work several problems of distance and altitude with diagrammatic illustrations. The second part considers the specificities of coastal navigation: 'più interessante è l'aggiunta di geometria pratica applicata al cabotaggio' (Riccardi). Copies are known with and without an engraved frontispiece and 3 plates. Riccardi calls only for the frontispiece, the Italian Union Catalogue does not mention any engraving, while the de Vitry copy contains 4 plates (Sotheby's, 11 April 2002, lot 829).
