"Curiously, this magnum was not any fresher than the 750 ml though that could have simply been this particular bottle. Otherwise, the wine was virtually identical to the wine from fifth, the review of which is: Stunningly complex nose of aged burg aromas, sous bois, spice notes (especially clove and anise) with rich, medium weight flavors that completely coat the mouth. Drinking perfectly now and it's hard to see this improving at all. A great '85 and one of the best of the DRC line-up in this vintage.
From magnum, this could be drunk now or held for another decade." BH, March 13, 2005
