GUADO AL TASSO
The Guado al Tasso estate is located in the Bolgheri zone, which hugs the Tyrrhenian coast, where the estate was once known as Tenuta Belvedere. The Antinoris have owned the family estate since the early thirties, but it wasn't until the 1990 debut release of Guado al Tasso that it became a center of activity. The vineyard is at an elevation between 145 and 190 feet above sea-level on stony, slightly calcareous soils. The blend is dominated by Cabernet Sauvignon and rounded out by 30 Merlot and 10 Syrah and matured for 14 months in oak with an additional ten in bottle.
