"Among Chevillon's "big three", I almost always prefer the Les St. Georges and the Les Cailles to the Vaucrains but not in '00. Dramatic, sappy black pinot fruit beautifully frame the dense, intense, rounded flavors underpinned by very ripe, solid tannins and incredible length. While this is finer than it usually is with no hint of the sometimes coarse tannins it can possess, it also is quite powerful and extremely long. This is potentially a great Vaucrains in the making."
