"Discreet and understated in the extreme with incredibly elegant and pure, absolutely classic green fruit and oyster shell Chablis aromas followed by slightly rounder and less powerful and robust flavors than the Vaillons but here there is better freshness, depth and complexity plus the finish just keeps coming and I had to pause to give my palate a brief respite because of the almost painful intensity before continuing on to the grands crus. In short, this is as good a premier cru level wine as I tasted on the entire trip. A stunning effort that could be enjoyed now with great pleasure though note that this is still on the way up.
