Nuits-Saint-Georges, Les Boudots--Vintage 1996
Côte de Nuits, Méo-Camuzet
In original carton
"Revealing a medium-to-dark ruby color and enticing aromas of blueberries, blackberries, and stones, this wine is a first-rate example of this famed vineyard. Its expressive, powerful, refined, and plump medium to fat body is replete with fat, juicy black cherries and notes of spicy oak. In addition, this offering has a long, rich, and complex finish that displays loads of supple tannins. It should be at its best between 2003 and 2008.
The village appellation offerings from Vosne and Nuits have the lowest pHs (3.35) of Meo's wines (the rest are between 3.45 and 3.5)." Pierre Rovani, Wine Advocate #118 (August 1998)
