"Relatively discreet and reserved for a '97 though the nose has opened considerably since the last time I tasted it. The flavors offer good density and power though not necessarily much complexity at this point and are gorgeously textured and completely coat the palate. In sum, this is classically styled and quite impressive in the context of the vintage though it has arrived at its peak - I would be drinking this now and over the next 5 years or so."
