This case was purchased from Ellis Son and Vidler by the current owner in the late 1960s and has since lain undisturbed in his cool, slightly damp cellar until removal for this sale.
Tasting note: my highest mark at a tasting of 12 Nacional vintages in 1994. More recently at a Bacchus Society pre-dinner port tasting: robust, still youthful; tremendous bite and concentration. Four stars, potentially five. Last tasted March 1998. 2010-2040. M.B.
