A MEISSEN GROUP OF THE CHINESE FAMILY
CIRCA 1750
Modelled by P. Reinicke with a child seated on a high table, the parents either side wearing long gilt-edged robes tied with yellow sashes, the father wearing a conical hat and ringing a bell, the mother holding a small parasol, her left hand resting on another child's head, the child playing with a monkey, on a shaped oval mound base applied with flowers and foliage (restoration to his hat, bell, mother's right wrist, parasol handle and tip of rattle [?] in seated child's hand, slight chipping to flowers and foliage, areas of slight wear, underside with extended firing crack)
