A MEISSEN BLUE-GROUND RECTANGULAR TEACADDY AND COVER
CIRCA 1740-45, BLUE CROSSED SWORDS, DREHER'S THREE DOTS MARK TO ONE CORNER OF BASE
Each side reserved with a quatrefoil panel painted with figures in wooded and river landscapes with distant churches and buildings, one with a bridge and another with figures by an elaborate tent, within elaborate gilt strapwork and scrolling foliage cartouches with panels of hatching, the flat shoulder with ombrierte Holzschnitt Blumen, the cylindrical cover edged with a gilt band, the top with a similar vignette and cartouche (cover with large D-shaped loss to rim, very slight wear to gilding)
