A VIENNA (DU PAQUIER) LOBED CIRCULAR DISH
CIRCA 1730-35
Painted in the Imari palette with underglaze-blue and overglaze enamels enriched with gilding, the centre painted with a vase of peonies within a lobed blue-line cartouche, the broad border with scattered peonies and three shaped cartouches painted with rocks, fences and pagodas, divided by radiating blue panels each with gilt mon and diaper-pattern, within lobed blue-line borders (crack to border from the rim at 12 o'clock, slight surface scratching)
12 in. (30.5 cm.) diam.
