Naturally modelled with her head turned and with two chicks nestling beneath her wings, her plumage with patches of pale-orange, pale-yellow and pale-purple with dark-grey markings, the upper part of her body forming the cover (cover extensively broken through and repaired, chipping to rim, small chip to wattle by beak, tureen with slight chipping to rim by tail, minute chipping to chicks, chip to interior flange of rim)
