1772, BLUE INTERLACED LS MARK TO CAN ENCLOSING DATE LETTER t, PAINTER'S MARK M FOR MORIN, PARTIALLY ERASED MARK TO SAUCER
Painted with sailors and merchants on quaysides loading barrels, packages, boxes and sacks onto ships, one package on the cup inscribed 1141 and one box on the saucer with 114, within chased gilt line reserves, the borders with entwined bands of gilt foliage and dots within gilt rims, the can with an ear-shaped handle enriched with gilt half-flowerheads (slight rubbing to rim of can)
