1780, BLUE INTERLACED LS ENCLOSING DATE LETTERS CC, UNIDENTIFIED PAINTER'S MARK OF A STYLIZED V.
The rims enamelled, jewelled and gilt with a border of pink and lavender drapery alternating with laurel swags suspended from cabouchons below pairs of blue butterflies and gilt scrolls and trelliswork, the rich blue ground applied with gold foil stars and flowerhead motifs with turquoise and green cabouchons (minor losses to jewelled decoration)
