The 28.5 cm. square gilt-metal dial with cherub mask and foliate spandrels to a silvered chapter ring with Fleur-de-lys half hour markers, signed Huygens Amsterdam, the matted centre with painted and engraved penny moon, silvered and engraved brass hands centred by an alarm-setting disc, with ringing to the winding holes and date aperture, the eight day movement with four ringed pillars and anchor escapement, Dutch strike on two bells with countwheel positioned centrally on the back plate, alarm on main bell, with later maintaining power positioned on the later seatboard, restored; pendulum, two brass weights, alarm weight and counterweight, crank key, door key
