The waisted case with foliate cast mounts surmounted by a C-scroll, the door decorated with an ormolu mount with a ruin with an eagle and a deer, the circular foliate cast dial with enamel Roman hour cartouches and an outer concentric ring with Arabic minutes, the enamel centre signed CARANDA A PARIS, the eight day twin barrel movement with later anchor escapement and countwheel strike on later bell, the backplate also signed Caranda a Paris, no. 1193; later pendulum, key
