A well engineered small full size single cylinder horizontal stationary engine,
built by Massey & Warner, 1902, with brass-bound mahogany lagged cylinder 2in. bore x 3in. stroke, valve chest draincock, studded stuffing boxes, pedestal mounted crosshead guides, barrelled connecting rod, marine-type big end, counterbalanced crankshaft, eccentric driven feed pump, spoked flywheel and belt pulley, finished in maroon and green, cast bed with embossed brass plate inscribed Horizontal Steam Engine 1902 by Massey & Warner, mahogany plinth and base -- 33 x 68.5cm. (13 x 27in.)
