A well engineered 5in. gauge model of a G.W.R. 0-6-0 ST locomotive,
built by Bill Hatswell, to the design of speedy with brazed superheated copper boiler with fittings including water and pressure gauges, safety, blower, steam brake, injector, whistle, clack and blowdown valves. Chassis details include twin outside cylinders with Walshaert's valve gear, cab controlled draincocks, displacement lubricator (some corrosion to pipework), eccentric driven feed pump, injector, steam operated brake gear, tank balance pipe and other details, finished in GWR livery with brass plate embossed "Built by Bill Hatswell Southend-on-Sea" -- 36.8 x 87.5cm. (74½ x 34½in.)
