Comprising a black coffee pot, teapot, cream jug and open sugar bowl; each of baluster form, on four leaf pad feet, the lower body chased with lily-of-the-valley, the neck with a border of daisies, the cover chased with water lilies and a pierced baluster leaf finial, the teapot with ivory insulators and leaf-clad double scroll handle, each with two cartouches, one side chased with monogram MFL, the other 1906, the shaped oval tray chased with a border of lily-of-the-valley and daisies, the field engraved MFL, the reverse engraved 1906, each marked under base, the teapot with code MNZ, the coffee pot, cream jug and sugar bowl with code G/UZ, the tray with code G/VA

This coffee service dates to 1904 and the teapot was produced in 1907, using the cream jug as a guide. The service required 167 hours to fashion and an additional 222 hours to chase. The total net factory cost was $474. (See: Larry Pristo, Martele: Gorham's Art Nouveau Silver, 2002, pp. 315, 389).
