Rynchops niger
hand-colored engraving with etching and aquatint, on J Whatman dated 1836, with margins, minor surface soiling, soft rubbing above the right wing, scattered foxing, soft rubbing in places in the margins, handling creases, a 1½-in. tear at the lower right margin edge, a 11-in. vertical crease in the lower left margin, time staining, hinge remains along the reverse of the left margin edge (with associated staining showing through), otherwise in good condition, framed
