The partnership of Shepherd and Boyd extended from 1806-1830 and produced domestic and religious silver. They also retailed jewelry, plated wares and japanned goods. See Norman S. Rice, Albany Silver 1652-1825, 1964, for examples of silver from this prolific firm, including a rare pair of wine coolers and pudding dishes, a form that was characteristic of the Albany region.
