With a green leather-lined top and three frieze drawers to each side, the pedestals each with three drawers and an opposing panelled cupboard, on a plinth and with wooden castors, one drawer stamped 'T.WILLSON, 68 GREAT QUEEN STREET, LONDON'

Lot Essay

Thomas Willson, furniture broker, traded from 68 Queen Street between 1821 and 1829, and the business subsequently continued as Mary Willson & Son and later Matthew Willson. The same stamp appears to have been used throughout.
