Lot Essay

This un-numbered example indicates one of the first series of production from c.1872/73.

As Rossell describes the Ganz Pinakoscop represented a significant advance in the design of the Sciopticon lantern with an improved design of burner and arrangement of the light source which maximised the efficient use of the generated light.
