Dom Joaquin Xavier Batello de Lima (1717-80), Archbishop of Evora, had an armorial service in this unusual pattern. A plate very like the present chargers was in the Mottahedeh collection and illustrated by Howard & Ayers, op. cit., p. 549, where the authors also cite armorial plates with the design divided horizontally illustrated by Castro e Solla in Ceramica Brasonada, vol. I, no. 9, April 1929.
